Creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always loved drawing, painting, and especially writing. As a kid, I filled pages with poems and stories, often using words to make sense of whatever I was feeling—even once writing a poem about a beloved hermit crab who had died.

In high school, my advertising and design class gave me the chance to write and illustrate a children’s book. My mom loved it so much that, to this day, she still asks when I’m going to publish it. Over the years, I started countless other stories, but somehow, I never finished them. Nothing ever felt quite right—or quite like the book I was meant to share.

Then, in 2025, God placed something very clearly on my heart:

Write a devotional.

I didn’t know what it would look like yet. In fact, it would take nearly a year before the idea finally came together. But eventually, my love for creativity, faith, family, and making memories all found their way into one place.

And that place became Popcorn & Prayers.
